Set in the upscale city of Lingzhou, “Choice Husband” follows the story of a young woman named Shen Miao (Sophie Zhang Xue Ying) who is a beautiful and rich daughter of a successful merchant. Shen Miao’s family is one of the wealthiest in the city, and men are anxious to marry her in order to gain money and status in life. In the midst of her efforts to reject greedy men, scholar Pei Yan Zhen (Xing Zhao Lin) and mercantile heir Song Xi Yuan (Riley Wang) actually succeed in marrying her. Even though their unions are short-lived, they are both on individual missions to win her back. Which ex-husband will Shen Miao choose?
